About Us

Founder Bridget Beardsley’s interest in dogs started young. At a young age she joined several dog focused 4-H groups, puppy raised for the seeing impaired, and worked with shelters. After graduating with a degree in Small Animal Science with a focus in Animal Behavior Bridget accumulated nearly a decade of experience training working dogs, and their handlers at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center.

With a vision to extend her impact, Bridget now brings together Gold Standard’s team of perfessional trainers and caretakers. Together they share a level of precision and determination to help owners, handlers and other animal professionals alike. With decades of experience, our team has helped over 300 families. We bring extensive hands-on experience working with family pets, Search and Rescue dogs, Single and duel purpose patrol dogs, service dogs, and more! We bring an ethical, results-driven, professional approach to every service we offer. We aim to make positive, science-based training accessible to dogs, owners and handlers at every level. This experience doesn’t end with dogs, our team has worked with cats, birds, elephants, and more!
